A Villain by the Devil's Law
To say that Rey was not in a good mood would be highly understating it. Since the arrival of Ben - Kylo - to the Resistance base, there had been, well, drama to put it in a single word. No one could really believe that he would just leave the First Order, he was the Jedi Killer after all. That she had been seen holding his hand, and keeping close company with him even before he was confined to her watch made a lot of people raise their eyebrows. She could hear the mutters, wondering if Rey herself was waiting for a chance to turn on them all.
It made her sick to her stomach, but she can't say she didn't expect it. If anyone actually knew about the Bond, or the fact they were married according to ancient Jedi law... It didn't bear thinking on. Her only real respite had come from Finn. Not that he was happy to see Kylo Ren there - he refused to call him Ben - or to see this closeness between his old boss and Rey, because he really wasn't. But, as he had put it, holding a cup of caf and staring off because of some memory, he had been there. Finn had left the First Order too. He didn't like Kylo, he didn't think he ever could, but he knew the fear that would be there.
Rey had hugged Finn tight after that.
Today they had scheduled the next of Ben's interviews - Leia still refused to call them interrogations - and Rey had been given a set of handcuffs to bring him to the interview room with. She stood outside his bunk, feeling distinctly awkward about how he was restricted to such a deserted area, and took a breath, opening the door and letting herself in.
She didn't think this was going to go well at all.
